8-day culinary trip (Szczecin - Gdańsk - Mazury)
Poland is a country of rich traditions and beautiful landscapes. Poland also has a splendid and diverse cuisine- refined and simple, fatty and delicate, spicy and mellow in taste. Every region is famous for its won dishes, and each has developed its own culinary customs. Historical Old-Polish cooking traditions have survived in some dishes. Old recipes are passed on from generation to generation and cherished, because they contain the secret of the unique flavour of Polish specialties.
Bt the one thing that unites all the regions is Old-Polish hospitality. Nobody can leave a Polish table hungry: the only question being whether they will want to leave it at all. It’s hard to resist the magic of the memories and traditions they contain, the intensity of natural aromas, and the harmony of original flavorsome compositions.
1st Day
Szczecin-Maciejewo
Arrival to Szczecin. Sightseeing in Szczecin. After sightseeing transfer to Maciejewo, a 100 year-old Palace Maciejowo surrounded by 15 ha park. This is a former residence place of the Flemming family situated amidst the picturesque forest, by the quiet Lechickie lake. Check in, dinner and overnight in the charming place.
2nd Day
Maciejewo-Gdańsk-Leźno
After breakfast transfer to the so called kashubian Switzerland – Kashubian landscape park. Dinner and overnight in the stylish 18th century Lezno Palace. The Palace is surrounded by a splendid, vast park.
3rd Day
Gdańsk
After breakfast sightseeing in Gdańsk. Leisure time. Diner in the palace park with live classical music. Overnight.
4th Day
Gdańsk-Malbork-Ostróda-Elbląg-Canal Kadyny
After breakfast transfer to Malbork. After sightseeing in Malbork transfer to Buczyniec, 2- hours trip by ship on the Canal, transfer via Elbląg to Kadyny – the former residence of the Hohenzollern Prussian Kings and Emperiors. The Silver Bell Hotel ( Hotel Srebny Dzwon ) will give you perfect conditions for a rest after an active day. In the stylish monumental building you will find all modern amenities and eat dinner: emperor’s specialties. Overnight.
5th Day
Kadyny-Olsztyn-Masuria
After breakfast transfer to Olsztyn. In Olsztyn sightseeing and after Folklore dinner in Restaurant Marengo in Olsztyn with live music. Transfer to Hotel Masurian Manor House ( Mazurski Dworek ). Overnight.
6th Day
Masuria District
After breakfast sightseeing in Święta Lipka: well known Shrine of the most valuable baroque sacral monuments in Poland. The transfer to Wolfschanze “ The Wolf’s Lair “ where the Hitler’s headquarter was built. Return to the Hotel, dinner and overnight.
7th Day
Masuria District-Stzekęcino
After breakfast transfer to Strzekęcino Amber Palace. Hotel “Amber Palace” is an exlusiv hotel. Intergrity encloses landscape park with elements from XVIII century, french garden with little lake witch shines with blue water floe. Dinner and overnight.
