Masurian District and Gdansk

Gdansk - the major Baltic port and the cultural centre of northern Poland founded in Xth century, very famous thanks to its Old Town, Church of St Virgin Mary, the 13th century cathedral in Oliwa with the largest and the most beautiful pipe organs in Poland.

Warszawa - the capital of Poland since XVIth century, totally destroyed during the II World War but rebuilt very quickly. Now people can admire the splendor of the Old and New Town, the Royal Castle and the Royal Residence Lazienki, a baroque palace Wialnów,the residence of the King Jan III Sobieski.

TRIP SCHEDULE

First day - Flight to Gdańsk

Flight to Gdansk Aktiv Tours Reisen tours leader awaites the group on the airport in Gdansk. Bus transfer to the hotel in the centre of Gdansk. In the afternoon, after lodging sightseeing in Gdansk. Dinner and overnight in Gdansk.

Second day - Gdansk / Malbork / Masuria

Early morning after breakfast trip to Malbork combined with visiting the castle of Knights of the Cross. From Malbork departure to Masuria. Dinner and overnight in the hotel near Mikolajki.

Third day - Masuria - Mikolajki

After breakfast wandering to Jora Wilekie through Uznaka. Then from Stare Schady, along the lake Talty to Mikolajki. From Mikolajki transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Mikolajki

Fourth day - Masuria - Mikolajki

After breakfast bus trip to Ketrzyn. Here visiting the former major quarter of Hitler. From Ketrzyn departure to the little but famous village Sw. Lipka - visiting and organ concert. In the afternoon a trip to Reszel - wandering through the village. Then coffee break. Finally departure to Mragowo.Wandering along the lake and through the city. Back to the hotel by bus. Dinner and overnight in Mikolajki.

Fifth day - Masuria - Mikolajki

After breakfast departure to the lake Jagodne. Wandering through Paprodtker Mountains nach Paprotki and from there through Marcinowa Wola nach Cierzpiety. From Cierzpiety departure by bus to Mikolajki - vsiting the city. In the late afternoon transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Mikolajki

Sixth day - Masuria - Mikolajki

After breakfast departure to Radzieje. Wandering to Sztynort - there visiting the ex- residence of Family von Lehndorff. After short break an excursion by ship through the lakes from Gizycko to Mikolajki. Comeback to the hotel by bus. Dinner and overnight in Mikolajki.

Seventh day - Masuria - Wandering through the Puszcza Piska

After breakfast departure by bus to Ruciane Nida. There wandering through the Piski primeval forest. Back to the hotel by bus. Dinner and overnight in Mikolajki.

Eighth day - Masuria - Mikolajki

After breakfast departure by bus to Wojnowo. Visiting the Rusian - orthodox church. From there an excursion by ship down the river Krutynia. Later wandering along the lake. Finally comeback to the hotel by bus. Dinner and overnight in Mikolajki.

Ninth day - Masuria - Warsaw

After breakfast departure to Warsaw. Sightseeing in Warsaw. Finally bus transfer to the airport.
